Angus Raver

Angus has a military style crop cut and takes great pride in his appearance. Clean-shaven, he has a distinctive mole on his face that he despises. Greying hair none-the-less, he's very built up having spent years serving his country. He has brown eyes and generally appears to be highly dangerous. Despite the image, he's not as tough as he likes to make out.

Angus served the Marines for fifteen years, signing up when he was twenty. This toughened him up severely; he wasn't one of those cocky college kids that thought it would be a walk in the park, but it was overwhelming for him to begin with. At first, because of this change, he had to learn how to control his emotions. Deciding to focus his hatred on terrorism, Angus had to find an outlet for random bursts of depression - and this led to his passion for art. Indeed, he finds art so therapeutic that the only reason he applied for the job at Deveraux was for the architecture. Angus has a no-nonsense attitude to unruly behaviour, and finds over-the-top punishments work, even if they are ridiculously unfair. He understands this, especially from his days in the forces, but he finds it hard to sympathise with hormonal teenagers.

Angus joined the Marines when he was twenty, and served them for a little over fifteen years. For the next three years he worked in the SWAT team, and then from 2108 onwards he took up art as a career. Finding it earned him little money, and missing the atmosphere of field work, he joined the police force after two years. However, after only a few months, he was offered a position in the CIA. He spent the next four years working in various departments of the government agencies, and heard a number of different spook stories about Deveraux - the numbers of former pupils who died young, the selective number of pupils, the strange cover-ups that were never explained to the lower levels of the government. Deciding he wanted to know more, he applied for the job of Senior Tutor, but wasn't accepted. Making him more determined, the experience drove him to looking for adverts for the elusive school, and eventually the job of Disciplinary Matters teacher came up. Finding this to be to his taste, Angus sent in his credentials and was hired.
