Ciaran Sullivan

Having always been compared to his older sister, Ciaran Sullivan was seen as an angel when he grew up. He is unsure whether this contributed to his rebellion or it was just him trying to find his way. After being saved by Liam O'Connell from just pushing drugs small time, he quickly became a rat. It was from Liam again that he got another break, receiving a chunk of the money Cassidy Reid left to Erin O'Connell, using it to pay for his education. Through his numerous babysitting jobs of the O'Connell children he discovered a passion for teaching that he is trying to further now.

Ciaran has dark ginger hair that is slightly curly if he lets it grow too long. He has dark brown eyes that are slightly set into his face. He has quite a long, flat nose which slightly points at the end like his sister's, but it does stand out from the rest of his facial features. His skin appears pale due to his red hair, which he gets from his Irish-American family. He is not exactly very tall at 5'4'' and is of average weight.

He has a volatile nature like his sister but he can keep it under control better than she can. He will do things that he doesn't agree with, but only after protesting his annoyance at what he has to do. He makes first impressions of people that he sticks with and it is hard for him to change once he already has an idea about a person. He is used to being slightly the centre of attention and mothered, but this characteristic he is slowly losing due to the fact that, in a way, he is being forced to grow up by leaving his parents and joining The Roxbury Gang. Kat mothers him but he tried to make her stop this.

He has had a few girlfriends but none of them have lasted longer than a few weeks. He doesn't like to have something tying him down too much and prefers to have one night stands and then just move on.

Ciaran grew up in Dorchester, Boston, in an apartment with his mother, father and older sister, Katherine. Kat had a very unstable relationship with their parents, which meant Ciaran witnessed when he was younger his sister regularly being kicked out of the apartment. It was when she was seventeen that his parents found out that she was a con artist. They kicked her out of the apartment as they believed she would be a bad influence on Ciaran. Ciaran had known what his sister was doing for a while and had been covering for her when she was late home sometimes. His parents were very determined once Kat had left that he had nothing to do with his sister and didn't turn out the same way. He still kept in contact with his sister and saw her at least once a month. He felt there was too much pressure on him not to go the supposed 'wrong way' like his sister did, and he left the apartment for good two years later. The Sullivan family had lost both their children to what they saw as the wrong crowd.

Ciaran didn't want to stay in Dorchester, even though Kat had offered that he could crash at her bedsit for as long as he wanted to, and he eventually found a room to rent in Roxbury. It was after this move that he got involved with Donnie O'Connell and his drug dealing, but he did not let his sister know. He didn't want her to know that he had got involved with drugs and dealing, and also with dealing with a member of the Roxbury Gang, the wrong gang compared to what she was in. He slowly lost contact with his sister and didn't notice her recent disappearance.
