Djamal Musambé

Djamal acted as Second in Command for a period of time during which Mickey Tannenbaum was Leader of the criminal organisation known as the Gargoyles. Deciding that Djamal was slipping out of his control, Mickey Tannenbaum ordered his girlfriend Morana Drake to assassinate him.

Djamambé is quite robust and is very built due to the fact that he frequents the gym. He has corn rows, and menacing brown (almost black) eyes. He's very proud of his Algerian heritage, which he wears with defiance. He's very different to the 'regular' gangster because he's quite cultured. Certainly, his family believe he is a successful businessman - which he is, technically. He appears taller than he really is (he's 6'2") and surprises people with his agility.

He's a very serious man, and can be downright cruel at times. He derives great pleasure in watching the defenceless fighting a losing battle. He doesn't have friends, only associates. If he ever did need friends, he'd just bully people into it. He gave up on religion a long time ago, and has a personal vendetta against the Church - he has made it his personal mission to remove all churches from existence. His hate for the Church isn't really about religion, it's just a way for him to channel his anger.

He was always a very violent child, having beaten up his little brother when he was only five years old. His family sent him away when he was only eight, not wanting any more to do with him. A relative took him in. The relative was (not too surprisingly) involved in gang warfare. He joined said gang and was eventually extradited from Algeria for being a nuisance. He moved to the USA, which was in disarray after the various crises. He was welcomed in; they were thinking he was going to work on the land. He discovered the criminal gang the Gargoyles and flattered his way in before brutally forcing himself to the near top. He is now sitting in the precarious position of being not quite leader and not quite follower.
