Enrique Fermes

Standing at 5'10", Enrique Fermes is slimly built and not particularly muscular. He has tanned skin and a bald head - although his hair is originally black, he routinely shaves it off for convenience. The time he spends shaving his head is probably the only time Enrique devotes to his appearance; he is the kind of person who was probably once quite good-looking, but idealism and obsession have taken over his mind in such a manner that he doesn't really care about how he looks anymore. His dark brown eyes are frequently blood-shot, his clothes don't often match and he has been known to skips meals when working throughout the day. The bags under his eyes are an indication of the fact that he doesn't sleep much either, but Enrique is far too devoted to his job to preoccupy himself with something as trivial as a good night's rest.

Enrique's shift in personality over the years is an apt demonstration of what obsession can do to a person. Enrique was once fun-loving and was often said to have a larger-than-life personality - something easily reflected in his love for the dramatic.

The new Enrique, however, is a different man altogether. Once he decided to devote his life to pursuing the cause of CHAOS, Enrique became fixated on his ideals so much that he forgot the original purpose of idealism is to make life better for people. He doesn't speak much if he can avoid it, is often miserable and under the weather as well as rude and abrasive. He has practiced his English to near perfection, but his Spanish accent still remains when he speaks. Having fun is a distant memory for Enrique, thus his only consolation when the going gets tough is to head to his local bar and consume a vast amount of alcohol. All of Enrique's spare time is devoted to his current project, and anything or anyone that gets in the way is expendable.

Born in El Rocio, Spain, Enrique Fermes was an only child of a middle class family. At school, he had always excelled in his Drama classes, earning him the lead role in many school productions. His winning smile, on the other hand, earned him plenty of female attention and popularity - although many other guys suggested he was gay, partly because of his flair for the dramatic and mostly due to jealousy. However, Enrique always felt like something was missing. He was an idealist and, like some of the characters he'd played, Enrique wanted a purpose to fight for.

He first heard about CHAOS and Nemesis when he was nearing the end of his schooling years, coincidentally around the same time he began to immerse himself even more in studying something that had always been his second passion after acting - technology. A project on terrorism led Enrique to investigate and even sympathise with the Crusade for Havoc, Anarchy and the Overthrow of Society. Putting his acting aside permanently, Enrique dedicated himself completely to Electrical Engineering & Computer Science and eventually obtained a student visa to study at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Upon leaving, he moved to Berwick, Canada, a small town where he could put into motion the realisation of his dream project: Nemesis Mark II.
