Julie Parker

Unworthy of being described as anything less than beautiful, Julie Parker radiates the confidence of a woman very much comfortable with her own appearance. Standing at 5'8'', she possesses delicate, feminine facial features and rich blue eyes that contrast well with her shoulder-length, wavy dark brown hair. Despite having been advised to do so by her mother when she was younger, Julie has never seen the need to cover the freckles on her nose and cheeks with make-up, liking the fact that her natural complexion makes her stand out.

Although at work she can sometimes be found in jeans for comfort, Julie prefers to wear more feminine clothes if possible and her favourite item in her wardrobe is her short-skirted, pastel blue halter-neck dress.

If to meet Julie Parker is to love her, to know her is to hate her. Ostensibly, her life is enviable - free-spirited and fun-loving, Julie lives life completely on her own terms and will not hesitate to go after anything she desires. Not in the slightest bit preoccupied with the opinions of others, Julie makes no effort to hide her flirtatious, outgoing and spontaneous personality - she'll speak her mind without consideration and act however she pleases in any given situation. On the surface, Julie comes across as nothing short of inspirational and intriguing; a unique, creative and exuberant woman who wants to live her life to the fullest, seizes every opportunity and doesn't care about who or what stands in her way.

Dig a little deeper, however, and Julie's true colours will often become much more evident. Spoilt and above all selfish, her own thirst for freedom and happiness has caused her to become extremely self-centred - if the world doesn't revolve around her, then it might as well not even exist. She thrives on attention, she lives on those who indulge her every whim and has a habit of wrecking havoc in any life she chooses to meddle in. Julie doesn't have the slightest consideration for other people's feelings and will frequently hurt those around her by not caring about any problems apart from her own. Flighty and often irresponsible, she has had issues in the past coping with the somewhat humdrum existence she believes comes along with the likes of marriage. She is also very easily bored, and will abandon anything she has become tired with in an instant if it means changing for something better.

Although originally born in Perth, Australia, Julie's parents decided to move to Melbourne when she was six years old. The middle child of three, Julie enjoyed being young enough to get away with some things and old enough to get away with others, something which made her begin to appreciate and embrace her life's lack of boundaries. She was a popular girl at school but often without trying - in fact, Julie rarely displayed behaviour typical of those higher up on the school social ladder and was well-liked by most people. She never stood out at a particular subject, having a will to learn that she applied to almost everything from History to Physics.

Having always admired her teachers at school, Julie realised from a reasonably young age which profession would be perfect for her. She chose to go to the University of Melbourne upon graduating High School, where her future husband Sports Physiology student Kyle Kennedy was already residing, but the two never actually met until Julie was twenty-three and they attended a mutual friend's wedding. They were engaged a year later, by which time Julie had inspired in Kyle a desire to go into teaching himself. Julie, on the other hand, was becoming restless with Australia and desperately wanted a change of scenery. She eventually persuaded Kyle to move with her to New York, and the two were quickly married in a registry office before departing.

Although life in the United States turned out to be everything Julie had dreamed of, obtaining a work visa and a steady job proved difficult. She couldn't believe it when finally she was hired to work at a public school in New York, but the pressure of financially supporting both herself and then unemployed Kyle ended up being too much for her to take. When Kyle arrived home from job-hunting to find her in bed with her boss, Julie told Kyle she had agreed to an affair with the headmaster of the school in exchange for her job - although that explanation was far from the truth. Unsurprisingly, Kyle filed for divorce and left New York for Boston not long after. Julie signed the papers, at the time certain it was what she wanted and temporarily enjoying her newly-found single status. As time passed, however, Julie began to wonder if by fuelling her own desires she hadn't perhaps lost the best thing that had ever happened to her.

In a spontaneous move typical of her, Julie packed her bags for Boston and called Kyle as soon as she arrived at the airport. Once she managed to speak to him, Julie only gained more confidence when Kyle gave her the impression he might actually consider getting back together with her.
