Kerry McCarthy

About
Kerry grew up only a few doors away from the O'Connell family in Roxbury, Boston, admired by both Liam and Donnie O'Connell for her dazzling smile and good sense of humour. The friendly rivalry between the two brothers ended when Kerry accepted Liam O'Connell's offer to be her date to their High School prom, although she later broke up with him when she fell for Roxbury gang member Neil McCarthy. They eventually married, but only a year later Neil was killed by a rival gang, leaving Kerry to cope with everything he'd left behind. Neil's house, which was passed on to Kerry, had three floors - she lived on the top floor, used the ground floor to run a small hardware store and the basement to continue with her dead husband's job of arms dealing for the Roxbury gang. Kerry was also pregnant when Neil died and was a single mother to four-year-old Sean McCarthy. When rival gang the Gargoyles decided to avenge the murders the Roxbury gang had committed, Kerry was one of the victims and ended up being shot in the chest by Caleb McKinnon. As was revealed in Kerry's will, her son Sean was actually the son of Seamus O'Connell Jr, who gained full custody after Kerry's death and also inherited Neil McCarthy's house.

Seamus is - although many would swear otherwise - the oldest child of the O'Connell family and shares his name with his father, leading his brothers and sisters to often refer to him as 'Junior'. Perhaps because his sister Bridget never hesitated in taking on the burden that should have belonged to him, Junior never saw any need to act as a role model to his younger siblings and throughout most of his youth could at best be described as immature and irresponsible. His marriage to Caitlin Keane in 2097 was all but arranged by both the Keane family and the O'Connell family, and Junior himself would probably be the first to admit that his children were the only good outcome of it, even if they weren't quite enough to stop him from straying from his wife on more than one occasion. An affair with a co-worker at his old office job caused Junior to find himself amidst the ranks of the unemployed, whereas old flame Kerry McCarthy's recent death led Junior to discover he had an extra son, Sean McCarthy. This revelation proved to be too much for Caitlin O'Connell to take, and she committed suicide on the 31st January, 2116. Junior is now a single father to five children and lives in Kerry McCarthy's old house - although he runs her old hardware store, however, the building is no longer used for arms trading.
Elegant and sophisticated, the former Leader of the Roxbury Gang was, in appearance at least, anything but what would stereotypically be expected of a woman in her position. Very little was known about Cassidy aside from the fact that she had lived in Roxbury her entire life and began making her way up the ranks of the local gang from a very young age, but she rather enjoyed the mystery surrounding her. In fact, much like she did with her seemingly non-threatening appearance, Cassidy often used the general lack of knowledge about her to her advantage. With striking features, wavy red hair and green eyes, Cassidy was still in good shape at forty-five and it was doubtlessly her cold, steady hand that kept the Roxbury Gang functioning. Having worked her way up to Leader, however, Cassidy felt she no longer has to do the dirty work for herself and gave out most of her orders through her right-hand man, Liam O'Connell. She was mysteriously found dead by the staff of the Boston Kitchen, one of the many restaurants she owned, on the 25th August, 2116, with one bullet wound in her stomach and another in her head.
