Standing at 5'2'' with quite a curvy figure, her hair colour used to be the only aspect of her appearance which Natasha had in common with her sisters, whom she wouldn't hesitate to describe as her total opposites – in her own words, 'blonde, leggy Republicans'. It was perhaps her awareness of the fact that she'd never fit in with the rest of her family even if she tried, in fact, that led Natasha to oppose her sisters’ apparent preference for nondescript hairstyles and cut her hair in layers as well as dye it chestnut brown.
History
Natasha was born in Louisville, Kentucky, as the youngest of Jacob and Abigail Miller's four daughters. As her sisters were keen to inform her when she was growing up, Natasha was the 'accident baby' – as demonstrated by the ten-year gap between Natasha and her youngest sister, Christine, her parents hadn’t been intending on having any more children when Abigail discovered she was pregnant.

Born in Adelaide, Australia, Joel learnt at an early age that being different wasn't a bad thing. He was one of only thirty-nine Jewish people in his Primary School of 1200. While his schoolmates were playing Australian rules football, rugby or soccer, Joel found that he had an affinity for badminton. Joel felt even more out of place in the United States when he got accepted into Deveraux College at the age fourteen, but he made friends, felt part of his team and graduated with flying colors. He was assigned to Region Red and stationed in Amsterdam with a cover job as a pro-am badminton player. He was forced to retire from active duty and from badminton after he needed surgery on a nagging elbow injury. Having met the woman he planned on marrying, Joel decided to stay in the Netherlands and become a Field Handler. His first charge was Natasha Miller, who, despite now having no need for a Field Handler, remains a friend and retains her cover job as a badminton instructor at a sports club he opened. Joel and Emma have one child together, a seven year-old girl named Melissa.
