The Delegates of Themis

"There comes a time during the noble course of history where those of us with the ability and intelligence to do so must be the ones to oppose those in power. Long ago, when Astraea, the daughter of Zeus and Themis, left our world for the skies, it was because she was disgusted by humanity. And even today, we find ourselves in the same situation. Justice is now just an illusion. Law enforcement is a joke. Petty criminals are sent to prison, whilst the worst offenders remain free to reap the advantage of having those who should be protecting the people in their control. The line between the police and criminal underworld no longer exists. They have become one and the same, equally corrupt and equally deserving of their judgement day.

Something must be done. The time has come for change. Themis's daughter abandoned her long ago, but not all of us have. There are those of us who still believe in justice. There are those of us who know the truth about what is necessary to achieve it. There are those of us who know the only solution we ow have is to start again. La Deuxième Renaissance. We have declared independence once before. The time will come when we will cry in triumph again, this time due to the fact that we will finally have freedom from the most oppressive of all tyrants - our own government."
